Mineral Insulated Thermocouples
Marathon Heater mineral insulated thermocouples are used where more durability or faster temperature response is required. MI thermocouples can also be bent to fit in to hard to reach places. Standard sheath materials are 304 SS, 316 SS, and Inconel 600. Other materials can be special ordered. Mineral insulated thermocouples can be made either with a grounded or ungrounded tip.
Marathon MI thermocouples are available in the following diameters:

MI thermocouples are available in a variety of configurations.

Retractable melt bolt thermocouples allow adjustment of TC depth in the melt stream and retraction of the TC during cool down to avoid breakage. Replacement elements also available. 1/2-20 UNF thread. |
